From Newborn to Senior Portraits - Senior Session at Biltmore Estate...


I just wrapped up an absolutely magical session with Charlize for her senior portraits at Biltmore Estate, and wow—it was one for the books! The weather was perfect, the light was golden, and Charlize was absolutely glowing. Everything about this day just came together beautifully.

Photographing Asheville senior portraits is always special, but this one hit differently for me. I’ve been photographing Charlize since she was a newborn. I was there for those tiny first photos, and now here we are—celebrating her senior year. Getting to capture someone’s story from baby to graduate is one of the greatest joys of my 20 years in photography, and it makes sessions like this so meaningful. (I’ve included a few images from her newborn session at the end of this post for a sweet throwback!)

A Fun + Relaxed Session at Biltmore

Charlize brought such an easygoing energy to her senior session, which made photographing her a dream. We laughed our way through the gardens and explored the beautiful views around the Biltmore Estate—every corner of the property offers a stunning backdrop for senior portraits. And of course, I loved spending time with Charlize’s mom again. She hasn’t aged a bit—it honestly felt like catching up with an old friend. We reminisced about Charlize as a baby while celebrating the amazing young woman she’s become.
