Kate & Evan | A Deerpark Wedding At Biltmore Estate


I’ve been thinking about Kate and Evan’s wedding ever since it happened — the kind of day that just sticks with you. Kate had always dreamed of a fall celebration wrapped in her favorite color, orange, and her Deerpark Wedding at Biltmore Estate was the perfect place to bring that vision to life. People who love orange are often described as witty, spontaneous, optimistic, and full of life… and honestly, that is Kate to a tee. From the very beginning of the day, she radiated joy and adventure, and Evan balanced her beautifully with his calm, steady presence.

One of the things I loved most about this day was how intentional it felt while still being incredibly fun. The Biltmore Estate has such a timeless, elegant feel, and Kate and Evan leaned right into that — but with personality. During portraits on the front lawn of the Biltmore House, I asked them to “frolic” (yes, frolic!) across the grass together. Kate’s gown had the most perfect front slit, and as she laughed and spun, the fabric moved effortlessly with her. Those moments were carefree, genuine, and full of life — my absolute favorite kind.

As the day flowed into the evening, the energy just kept building. Their reception was pure magic: soft candlelight, nonstop laughter, and an ice sculpture overflowing with shrimp cocktail and surrounded by oysters. It felt elegant without being stuffy, elevated but still relaxed — the kind of party where you look around and think, I never want this night to end.

A Deerpark Wedding at Biltmore Estate has this special way of feeling both grand and intimate at the same time, and Kate and Evan’s celebration captured that balance perfectly. Their wedding day was warm, joyful, and completely true to who they are — a beautiful beginning to an even more beautiful adventure together.
