There are weddings that are beautiful because of the setting, and then there are weddings that feel beautiful on a soul level because of the people involved. Kiersten and Dillon’s wedding was both.
Held at the stunning Hidden Hill venue in Morganton, NC, their day unfolded against the most incredible fall backdrop—rolling mountain views, golden foliage, and the kind of crisp mountain air that makes you breathe a little deeper. I absolutely love the opportunity to photograph at new venues, and Hidden Hill has quickly become a favorite with its panoramic views and peaceful seclusion. It’s a gem tucked right here in our corner of Western North Carolina.
What made this day even more meaningful for me was the personal connection. Kiersten’s mom was our real estate agent when we moved into our home, and we’ve adored their family ever since. Getting to celebrate this day with them didn’t feel like work—it felt like cheering on people I genuinely care about.
Kiersten and Dillon’s love story mirrors so much of my own with my husband, which made this wedding hit a little closer to the heart. Their bond is natural, strong, and filled with laughter. Watching the way they look at each other, the way they gently steady each other’s nerves, and the way they exhale when they’re side by side—you just know they were meant to find one another.
It’s always an honor to photograph weddings, but there's something extra special about capturing a love story in my hometown, especially one that feels so familiar and heartfelt.
