Fall Minis - What to Expect

My mini sessions are relaxed and informal. They are a 20 minute portrait session and allow for one outfit/look.

As we only have 20 minutes for the session I normally start shooting right away, so please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled time. But don't worry - 20 minutes is more than enough time to capture beautiful images you will treasure.

This year - I'm offering mini sessions in Asheville / Marion/ and Hickory, NC

I will also have limited spots available in Carmel and Big Sur, California in October. - I will work with you personally to decide where based on good fall color, good lighting, etc.

I will ensure you are in the best possible light and position. It really depends on how long it takes to get 15 good images. Sometimes that means it could only take 5-10mins. Each situation and child is different. Remember, some of my best images can happen in the span of seconds...

Your Little Ones

Let their personality shine!

I want your children to just be themselves during the shoot, so I won't be asking them to say cheese. If your child starts acting up it's okay. Try your best to let go and let me lead the session. Hearing their name over my shoulder will not help. Kids are easily distracted and will not know where to look... All you need to do is trust me to get the best out of your children. Also, I'm not against bribery... it's worth it for a lovely shot you will treasure forever!

What to Wear

How to Style your crew

The clothes your family wear for the session can make a big difference to the look of your images. The MOST important thing for you to remember is - keep it simple. Solid colors work best. Subtle toned tops work well such as earth tones and greys, and even blues and greens. Avoid stripes, patterns, and logos and go for timeless and classic.
I want these to be portraits you can display for years to come.
I highly recommend Pinterest for fall family outfit ideas. :)

Payment Policy and Additional Editing

Mini Sessions are $225. $50 is required to schedule your mini-session. The additional $175 is due the day of the session. If for some reason your have to cancel, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can reschedule your session. All payments are payable via card, cash, or check. An invoice will be sent to you via e-mail.
