A Dreamy Winter Wedding at the Biltmore Estate: Hanna & Daniel's Snowy Celebration at Lioncrest

There’s something truly magical about a winter wedding in Asheville, North Carolina—especially when it unfolds at one of the region’s most iconic wedding venues: the Biltmore Estate. Hanna and Daniel’s January wedding at Lioncrest at Biltmore turned into a fairytale when an unexpected snowstorm swept through the mountains, covering the estate in a breathtaking blanket of white.

As an Asheville-based wedding photographer, I dream of days like this. The snow added an ethereal beauty to every photo we captured, with the grandeur of the historic Biltmore House rising in the background. We had the estate nearly to ourselves, and the stillness of the snowfall made the entire day feel serene, sacred, and unforgettable.

Hanna was an absolute champ in the cold, braving freezing temperatures with grace and a smile. I loved that she and Daniel thought ahead and packed snow boots—practical and so sweet peeking out from beneath her gown. Their joy warmed up the entire session.

The reception space glowed with candlelight, rich florals, and live music that had everyone dancing all night thanks to the Java Band Blaze the City. It was warm, joyful, and full of life—everything Hanna and Daniel had hoped for.
