Children's Portraits at The Biltmore Estate


Last week, I had the joy of photographing the Watson granddaughters, and let me just tell you — these two are absolutely precious. From the moment they arrived, they were full of personality, big smiles, and the kind of sisterly bond that makes your heart melt.

One of my favorite details from the session? Their matching blue and white floral dresses. The moment they stepped out in those sweet little outfits, I knew we were in for something special. The soft, classic pattern felt timeless, and paired beautifully with the natural backdrop we chose for their portraits. It’s those little details that elevate a session and give it a touch of charm you can feel in every image.

What made this session even more meaningful was the story behind it. Their grandparents had planned this session as a surprise for their son and daughter-in-law. I love when families find thoughtful ways to celebrate the people they love, and this was such a beautiful gesture — capturing these fleeting childhood moments and turning them into treasured keepsakes.
